Take in the Fine Furnishings Show this weekend in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET - The 19th annual Fine Furnishings Show - New England Region is coming this weekend and organizers say those who attend can expect great things from more than 87 exhibitors and 20 student participants who will be filling every inch of the Pawtucket Armory Arts Center at 172 Exchange St.

While some faces may be familiar, there are numerous new talented artists and craftsmen to add to your "favorites" list, they say.

The show runs Friday, Nov. 7, from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults (or $15 for two days), and free for anyone younger than 12. Parking is free.

Visit www.finefurnishingsshows.com or call 401-816-0963 for more information.

KL Communications is inviting everyone to "support local, regional and national craftsmen" during this third event at the Armory. This event is about supporting "American-made, handcrafted furniture and accessories," they say, "the true meaning of "made in the U.S.A."

There will be food and beverages, including a cash bar from Murphy's Law on Friday night. Door prizes will be donated by exhibitors.

Come Friday night for "Date Night" and the Best in Show Awards, sponsored by Rockler Woodworking & Hardware.

Enjoy new product debuts and chat with exhibitors to learn the stories behind their creations. Cash and carry items are available for those who want to get a head start on holiday shopping or treat themselves to something.

Visitors are asked to bring non-perishable food items to help fill the pantry at the Pawtucket Soup Kitchen.
