Robert P. Heaton - Lincoln

Robert P. Heaton, 85, of Angell Road died Saturday, March 9, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Moore) Heaton. Born in Providence, a son of the late Lemuel and Lois (Price) Heaton, he had lived in Lincoln for the past 59 years.

Mr. Heaton was the Tree Warden for the town of Lincoln for 20 years, retiring in July 2012. Previously, he was the manager of Price-Fletcher Tree Service.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran and was a member of American Legion Post #33, Lincoln. He was a member of Jenks Lodge #24, F. & A.M., Pawtucket and he also served on the board of directors of Riverside Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Pamela Carlson of Folly Beach, S.C., and Lesley Heaton of Lincoln; two sons, Robert P. Heaton Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Universal City, Texas, and Michael M. Heaton and his wife, Nancy of Cumberland; one brother, Dr. Ronald Heaton of Rutland, Vt.; six grandchildren, Charles and Dennis Heaton, Michaela Chewar, Erin Elizabeth Jones and Nicholas and Kyle Rodrigues; two great-grandchildren, Matthew Truesdale and Robert T. Jones IV; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Richard Heaton.
