Mary A. Kubaska - Woonsocket

Mary A. (Krzywicki) Kubaska passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket with her family at her side.

She was the loving wife of the late Eugene Kubaska (Lieutenant, Woonsocket Fire Department). Born July 3, 1926, in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Stanley J. and Anna (Ogarek) Krzywicki.

Mary was a telephone operator for the former New England Telephone Co. for many years, retiring in 1985. She was a communicant and very active at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Woonsocket.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club. She was a loving mother, grandmother and most of all, loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald Kubaska of Arizona and John and his wife Marlene Kubaska of Cumberland; a daughter, Kathryn and her husband Donald Chabot of Woonsocket; a sister, Leonarda Sowa of Warwick, R.I.; also six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John Krzywicki, Sophie Kokoszka, Jennie Rusielewicz and Adeline Martin.

Her funeral will be Monday, March 18, at 9 a.m. from the Kubaska Funeral Home, 35 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Harris Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation hours are Sunday, March 17 from 4 to 8 p.m.
