Philip P. Cimini - Pawtucket

Philip P. Cimini, 73, of Pawtucket, son of the late Armando and Domenica (Salierno) Cimini, expired at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center on March 27, 2013.

Beloved husband to Barbara A. (Corey) Cimini; father of Cheryl A. Lema and her husband William of East Providence, Susan M. Costa and her husband Manny of Warwick and Philip P. Cimini Jr. of Taunton, Mass.; grandfather of Samantha, Stephanie and Sean Lema of East Providence; great-grandfather of Theabella Lema and Timothy Smith Jr. of East Providence; grandfather to Kayla and Nicole Cimini of Taunton, Mass.; stepfather to Kerrie Medeiros and her husband Glenn of Pawtucket; step grandfather to Glenn Medeiros Jr. and his wife Jessica of Cumberland; also to Ilaura Medeiros of Johnston and Krystiana and Alexandra Medeiros of Pawtucket.

He loved his family dearly and he will be sadly missed by all, including family and friends. Philip was a milkman for Monroe Dairy and a barber for many years during the 1960s and 1970s. He worked for 26 years for the Providence Journal in the Circulation Department, retiring in September 1995. He earned the safe driving award for many years in a row.

Philip was interested in all kinds of history, including the Civil War, American Revolution and World War I and World War II. He loved watching the Military Channel and movies on TV and loved to travel to Florida, especially Disney World.

Calling hours are Monday from 4-7 p.m. in the A.A. MARIANI and SON Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins St., Providence. Funeral is Tuesday at 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. in St. Basil the Great Church, 15 Skyview Dr., Lincoln, RI. Burial is in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
