Leonard R. Bradley - Cumberland

Leonard R. Bradley, P.E., 77, of Cumberland passed away after a brief illness Tuesday, July 2, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Dowling) Bradley. They were happily married for 55 years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late F. Leonard and Rhea (Menard) Bradley. Len lived in Cumberland for the last 48 years.

He graduated from LaSalle Academy, 1954, Brown University, 1958, and received his MBA from Bryant University in 1973.

He was an engineer working for a number of companies, including Texas Instruments, Motorola Codex, and A. T. Cross. He later worked as a consultant for TMI of Lincoln, retiring in 2011.

He was a lifelong Boy Scout, serving as Cubmaster for Pack 1 Arnold Mills, assistant Scoutmaster for both Troop 1 Arnold Mills and Troop 1 Diamond Hill. He also served on the Narragansett Council B. S. A. Executive Council Committee.

Len was longtime parishioner of St. John Vianney Church, Cumberland, serving as a lector and Eucharistic minister.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Betsy Johnston and her husband Todd, Michael Bradley and his wife Laura, Paul Bradley and his wife Holly, Len Bradley Jr. and his wife Linda, Susan Labrie and her husband Tom, Tom Bradley and his wife Jennifer and Christina Graham and her husband Chad; and two sisters, Barbara Barnes and her husband Bill and Diane Meschisen and her husband Andy. He also leaves 20 beloved grandchildren, Adam, Timothy, Kate, Meghan, Michaela, Brian, Andrew, Kevin, Kyle, Michael, Benjamin, Sean, Chloe, Ryan, Greg, Daniel, Sarah, Luke, Sophie and Matt. He was the brother of the late Paul Bradley.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, July 8 at 10 a.m. in Saint John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will be private. Visiting hours are Sunday from 3-8 p.m. in the O’Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
