Estate planning program offered at the Mancini Center

NORTH PROVIDENCE - The Salvatore Mancini Resource and Activity Center announces the following events.

The Caregivers Support Group for Memory Impaired Seniors will meet on Thursday, Sept. 26, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

The SMRAC Book Club will discuss "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet," by Jamie Ford on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 1 p.m. The book to be distributed will be "Snow Falling on Cedars," by David Guterson.

The Rhode Island Bar Association will present an Ask A Lawyer program on Monday, Sept. 30, at 10:30 a.m. Attorney Thomas Petronio will discuss wills, trusts, powers of attorney and ways to preserve your homes and assets. There will be time for general legal questions and concerns. Register for the free seminar at the Reception Desk.

The Coventry Senior Harmonica Band will be held Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Sheila Murphy of Our Lady of Fatima Hospital will provide free peripheral vascular disease screenings on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Each screening will take approximately 10 minutes. For an appointment, register with the receptionist at 401-231-0742.

A blood pressure clinic will be held Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m. to noon.

The program, A Woman's Guide to Better Breast Health, will be presented on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 10:30 a.m. Learn the steps necessary to maintain good breast health.

Make-up artists are needed to volunteer for the Fancie Senior Follies On Broadway show to be held on Oct. 20, at 2 p.m., at the North Providence High School auditorium.¬?Cosmetology students are welcome to apply. Volunteers are also needed to call bingo on Thursdays, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
