NORTH SMITHFIELD - Wet field conditions did not hamper youngsters in the North Smithfield Youth Soccer Association on Saturday as they slogged their way through games.
In the U-8 Division, In Site Engineering downed United Rentals, 13-3. Kellan Halliwell had a big game, scoring four goals. Brett Becker added three, Nick Carufel, three, Leo Leblanc, two, and Nathan Comeau, one for the winners. United got goals from Alessandra Camastro, Norah Strond and Thomas Powers, and Mark Belcher was MVP.
Stanley Tree Service and Benchmark Building Co. played to a 6-6 stalemate. Stanley scorers were Anthony Paiva, two, Davis Carter, Benjamin Campbell, Tyson Rasco and Christopher Doire. Benchmark got two goals each from Gilbey Karren and Caston Diogo and one each from Kate Zonin and Ethan Cardin Prochniak and Eden St. Pierre was MVP.
REI Roofing topped Flash Powder Photo, 10-8. Nicholas Lamoureux popped in four goals, and Luke Letizia, three for the winners, who got singletons from Trevor Rose, Roman Guilbert and Alina Dienkiewicz. Flash Powder scores came from Aydynn Madden and Keegan Ortiz-Allard, two each, Aidan Beinvenue, Ava O'Neill, Aidan O'Neill and Ryan Blanchette.
During U-10 Division contests, Walsh, Brule and Nault got by REI Roofing, 4-2 as Holden Tousignant scored all four of his team's goals in a great performance. Megan Masi was MVP. Cameron Cabral scored for his team and Kara Farmer was MVP.
Anchor Nissan got four goals from Casey Ammerman and one each from Tyler Rose and Grave Laplante and downed Comtorgage, 6-3. Cooper Goodwin was the MVP. Estevan Reyes had a huge game for Comtorgage, scoring all three goals.
Valley Breeze got by National Marker Co. 4-2. Aidan Ahern, two, Joshua Hanlon and Andrew Pasquariello scored for the winners and Brennan Drolet was the MVP. Jessica Karspeck had both of her team's scores and Jamie Wilkes was the MVP.
Adam Dubois went on a spree, scoring five goals to lead Benchmark Building Co. to a 9-2 win over Dick's Sporting Goods. Ellie Strong and Cooper Carlson added a pair of goals each and William Sullivan was the MVP. Domenick Neri and Josh Neves scored for Dick's, and Julia Robichaud was MVP.
In U-12 Division games, Village Haven nipped Jardine Investments, 4-3 behind a pair of goals from Mitchell Prudhomme and one each by Ian Hartley and Kyle Alves. Cameron Reynolds, two, and Matthew DiNezza scored for Jardine and Casey Gouin was MVP.
Sports Systems took a 7-1 decision from In Site Engineering behind three goals from Michael Belcher and two each from Thao Nguyen and Nathan Bursells. Ciara Ahern was MVP. Gerald Corrao scored his team's goal and Haylee Carlson was MVP.
Stanley Tree Service edged Beauchemin Lumber, 3-2. Cade Curran, two, and Victoria Thurley scored for the winners and Nicholas DeCelles was the MVP. Jordan Teguis had both scores for Beauchemin and Aidan Beauchemin was MVP.
In U-14 Division play, Stanley Tree Service stopped Moses, Afonso Ryan Ltd., 6-1. Jake Coutinho, three, Brendyn Feleciano,Michal deRonde and Drew O'Donnell scored for the winners. Marc Parsons had his team's score and Eileen Whalen was MVP.
MFL USA and Village Haven played to a 1-1 tie. Kyle Dean had the score for MFL USA, and Brian Dandereau was MVP. Josh Kruzan had Village Haven's goal.
