Pauline M. Davis - Woonsocket

Pauline M. Davis, 67, of Melbourne, Fla., passed away on Oct. 25, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the wife of Richard T. Davis for 36 years, and the daughter of the late Rene and Ida Waltzer and the sister of the late Alice Bissonette. She also leaves her brother, Robert Waltzer of St. Cloud, Fla., and her sister, Florence Mathias of Woonsocket and her children.

Pauline was the mother of Sherry Storms and husband John Storms of Palm Bay, Fla., Joel Jacobs and his wife Jennifer Jacobs of New Brighton, Minn., as well as Pam and William Redmond of Bellingham, Mass., and Glen and Debra Davis of Woonsocket, R.I.; and three other children by marriage. Pauline is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Jennifer, Sara, Michael, Jillian, Ashley, Ryan, Sean, Mathew, Joshua, Amanda and Rebecca. She also had four great-grandchildren, Chad, Meka, Jessa and Nicholas.

Pauline was born in Woonsocket and was a teller for The Rhode Island Hospital Trust Bank (Social branch) and other Banking Institutions in California and Florida. She was a resident of Florida for 36 years.

Pauline was a volunteer member of the Hotline Crisis Call Center because she always wanted to help others as she did through her entire life. She was a loving mother and wife and knew how to make others smile.

She was an avid reader and loved to travel and enjoyed life to the fullest. Her motto was “to have a friend you must be a friend,” which resulted in lifelong friendships that lasted more than 50 years: Connie Blais, Bob and Billy Johnson, Theresa Martineau and the late Gloria McDuff

There was a private viewing that was held on Oct. 29, 2013, for immediate family. There will not be a memorial service at this time. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a small donation to your local Hospice Facility.
