Blackstone Library leaders thankful

The autumn season is upon us, and with it comes the tradition of giving thanks for the bountiful good things that we experience throughout the year. At the Blackstone Library we have much to be thankful for this season. In 2014, the library will celebrate its tenth year since the opening of the new building at 86 Main St. The library continues to be a place of community for the residents of Blackstone, and we have seen the impact that a thriving library has on its citizens. Each year, the library receives many donations from local businesses and organizations. Some donations are tangible, such as gifts of money, summer reading prizes, and other items that enhance library programming. Some donations are not as tangible, but just as important. Individuals donate their time, a precious commodity that is often in short supply for most people. The Friends of the Library spend countless hours fundraising and organizing the ongoing books sale. Other volunteers devote their time assisting with library programs. The Blackstone Board of Library Trustees, director, and staff wish to extend our heart-felt thanks to all of the people, organizations, and businesses that have contributed to the library in 2013.

Last but not least, we would like to thank the entire community of the Town of Blackstone because with their support each year, the library is able to continue to offer exceptional library service to all. Thank you to all of the patrons who continue to use the library and its resources.
