Woonsocket offers free public vaccination clinic Wednesday

WOONSOCKET - The Woonsocket Emergency Management Agency is sponsoring a free public tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis; flu; and pneumococcal vaccination clinic on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Woonsocket High School, 777 Cass Ave., from 5 to 8 p.m.

The flu vaccination protects against seasonal flu for ages 6 months and older

TDAP protects against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis or whooping cough, for ages 11 and older, especially for those in contact with infants.

Pneumoccal vaccine protects against pneumonia, for all adults 19 and older.

There is no out of pocket cost for these vaccinations.
