CUMBERLAND - Fifty students from both McCourt Middle and North Cumberland Middle school visited Washington, D.C., over the Veterans Day weekend.

The group of McCourt students, while visiting Arlington National Cemetery, happened to be in the right place at the right time, as they witnessed President Obama's Veterans Day speech, an event that was limited to an audience of 2,000, according to McCourt parent Carmen Castellanos, whose daughter, Savannah Patterson, was one of the students to see the President.
