Therese A. Auger - North Smithfield

Therese A. (Lague) Auger, 78, died Nov. 19, 2013, in St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the wife of Philias A. Auger Jr. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late George and Mabel (Anger) Lague.

She worked in the family business, Auger's Menswear of Woonsocket, for many years until its closing in 1989. Prior to her retirement in the late 1990s, Therese worked for seven years with Citizens Bank in Providence, overseeing the safety deposit box area.

She was an active member of several local organizations in Woonsocket, including the KBG Club and the Interfaith Choir. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Woonsocket, and was active for many years with their food pantry.

Besides her husband, she is survived by their five children, Pierre Auger and his wife Jill of Lexington, Mass., Jean Auger and his wife Janice of Albion, Marie Gentile and her husband Ezio of North Providence, Philip Auger and his wife Kristen of North Kingstown and Eric Auger and his wife Gina of Needham, Mass.; and 10 grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was sister to the late Alfred G. Lague.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at 9 A.M. from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, 314 Wrentham Road, Bellingham, Mass. Calling hours are Friday from 5 - 8 P.M.
