Natalie Loureiro - Cumberland

Natalie (Andrade) Loureiro, 79, passed away Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Manuel Loureiro, and they had been married for 60 years.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Maria (Pontes) Andrade. She resided in Cumberland for more than 60 years.

Mrs. Loureiro was employed for many years at Hasbro Inc., Corning Glassworks, and Memorial Hospital. After retirement she worked as a volunteer for the Memorial Hospital and Ocean State School of Gymnastics.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, where she was a member of the church choir. She was a member of the Lions Club, the Red Hat Society, and was also a member of the Coral HERANCA Portuguesa. Among many of her interests, Natalie most loved shopping, dancing, and playing cards.

She leaves her son, Manuel Loureiro and his wife Roberta of Cumberland; her daughters, Annemarie Lyons and her husband Tim of Smithfield and Marianne Loureiro of Cumberland; her two sisters, Clara Andrade of Pawtucket and Adele Pari and her husband Tom of North Providence. She also leaves her two granddaughters, Amber Wild and her husband Andrew, and Ashley Lyons, and one grandson, Manuel Loureiro III, all of Cumberland; three great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at 10 A.M. from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow at the Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, from 4 to 8 P.M.
