Elizabeth M. Pearson - Woonsocket

Elizabeth M. (Rossini) Pearson, 88, formerly of Pinecrest Drive, Woonsocket, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, in the Holiday Retirement Home in Lincoln with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Wilfred Pearson.

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Luigi and Santina (Michelotti) Rossini. Elizabeth moved to Woonsocket in 1964.

She was co-owner of the former Carol’s Drive In, and also was a purchasing agent for the United States Government.

She also worked for Paramount Restaurant Supply, and worked as a secretary for ACS and Tri-Valley Elder Services in Blackstone, Mass., prior to retiring in l992.

She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and served on several committees at St. Theresa Church in Blackstone, Mass.

She is survived by one son, Robert E. Pearson, of Woonsocket; one daughter, Barbara A. Watts of Colorado; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She also was the mother of the late Richard L. Pearson, and sister of the late Julia Dearborn,and Gloria Rossini.

Her funeral will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at 10 A.M. from the S.DiPardo Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1583 Diamond Hill Road, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian burial at 11 A.M. in St. Theresa Church, Rathbun Street, Blackstone, Mass. Relatives and friends are invited; calling hour is from 9-10 A.M. on Thursday morning. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston, R.I.
