Jacqueline B. Schofield - Cumberland

Jacqueline B. Schofield, “Jackie,” 73, of Cumberland passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014. She was the beloved wife of James Schofield. They were happily married for 53 years.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Clara (Taylor) Bennett. Jackie was the bookkeeper for James R. Schofield & Sons for many years.

She enjoyed needlepoint, knitting and playing cards. She was a former member of the Eastern Star. She was also a loyal Boston Red Sox and Bruins fan. What she cherished most was time she spent with her family.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, James Schofield and his wife Rae, and Richard Schofield; and four grandchildren, Ashley Oxley, and Jessica, Jack and Annie Schofield. She also leaves a great grandson, Jameson Oxley. She was the sister of the late Linda Bennett.

Relatives and friends are invited to a service, Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at 11 a.m. in the O’Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Diamond Hill Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
