Henry P. Psybyski – Cumberland

Henry P. Psybyski, 89 of Tingley Drive passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, in RI Hospital, Providence. He was the loving husband of Josephine R. (Taraska) Psybyski for 65 happy years.

Born in Chelsea, MA, he was the son of the late Mitchell and Valeria (Ankiewicz) Psybyski. He has resided in Cumberland for 60 years.

He was a US Navy Air Corp Veteran of WW II.

He was a graduate of Tolman High School class of 1944, Pawtucket and attended the RI School of Design, Providence. He was a proud graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology Class of 1948, Boston, MA.

Mr. Psybyski was employed as a pattern maker for the Former Crystal Thermoplastics of Cumberland for many years retiring in 1990. Previously he was self employed for several years.
He spent every Saturday enjoying his favorite hobby of taking his wife on dates up until this previous Saturday. Other interests included golfing, reading, photography, traveling, woodworking and making toys and puzzles for all of his family. Mr. Psybyski was known by all as "Mr. Fixit" and the "Go To Person" for any help or advice, he was always there for anybody at any time... except Saturdays.

He was a communicant of St. Mary Church, North Attleboro, MA.

He was a member of the Arnold Mills Community-ites where he served as treasurer for many years. He was a member of the Blackstone Valley Senior Golf League at Chemawa Country Club, North Attleboro. He was also a member of the senior bridge group usually held at a local establishment.
Beside his wife, he is survived by his daughter Christine Doderer and her husband Skip of Cumberland and his son Henry P. Psybyski Jr. and his wife Mary of Cheshire, CT. Four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of His Life will be held Tuesday, March 4, at 9 a.m., from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Park Street North Attleboro, MA. Burial with military honors will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.

Calling hours were held Sunday, March 1, 5 to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Lincoln Animal Shelter 25 Wellington Rd. Lincoln, RI 02865.
