Cumberland Rec offers fitness classes

CUMBERLAND - The Cumberland Recreation Department is offering the following fitness classes. Registration will be held though Friday, March 21.

Aerobics: This easy-to-follow aerobics class will be held on Tuesdays and will include stretching and basic aerobic steps to various beats of music.

Body Movement: Learn how to exercise safely on Thursdays. The class will include simple aerobic moves, stretching and relaxation techniques, basic nutrition and more.

Participants should bring a towel or mat, drinking water, and dress in lightweight, comfortable clothing.

The cost is $40 for each class or $60 for both.

Classes are held at the Diamond Hill ski lodge building, 4097 Diamond Hill Road, and run March 25 through May 22, from 10 to 11 a.m. No classes will be held on April 22 or 24. The instructor for both classes will be Germaine Krobath.

A low-impact high-intensity aerobics class for adults 18 and older is being offered on Monday and Thursday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m., at the John J. McLaughlin Cumberland Hill School, March 24, through June 12. No classes will be held on April 21 and 24 and May 26.

The cost is $40 for Monday or Thursday only; or $60 for both days.
