Arizona proposal needed Supreme Court review

The problem raised when the governor of Arizona vetoed the recent law that was perceived by many to discriminate against gays is complicated. I believe that the governor should have signed this law which would have allowed it to be fast tracked to the United States Supreme Court for a final decision. It is a constitutional issue.

It seems to me that United States citizens have a right to freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion and freedom of association. I believe we have the right to choose the people we associate with. Family owned businesses that provide services to the public should not be forced to associate with people who have different religious views. However, only the U.S. Supreme Court can provide the final solution to this problem. This problem should not be allowed to become a "political football."
