Mancini Center to hold bake sale Tuesday

NORTH PROVIDENCE - The Salvatore Mancini Resource and Activity Center announces the following events.

Learn about identity theft and scams on Thursday, May 1, at 10:30 a.m. A representative from Attorney General Peter Kilmartin's office will conduct a presentation regarding scams, identify theft, telemarking, charities, shopping on the Internet and fraud calls received by consumers requesting personal information. A question and answer period will follow.

Roger Williams Medical Center Blood Lab is available at the center every Friday, from 9 a.m. to noon.

A bake sale will be held on Tuesday, May 6, from 9 to 1 p.m. Donations of pies, cakes, tea breads, brownies, and cookies are being sought and can be brought to the center by Monday, May 5, at 4 p.m. or by 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

The center will host a trip to Trinity Repertory Company to see "My Mother's Italian, My Father's Jewish & I'm in Therapy" on Sunday, May 18. The bus will depart from the center at 1 p.m. and return at approximately 4 p.m. The deadline to sign up is Monday, May 12.
