New visitor shop debuts in downtown

PAWTUCKET - Residents and visitors looking for keepsakes, unique gifts and items from Rhode Island and the historic Blackstone River Valley have a new location to buy such items. The Blackstone Shop will make its grand opening debut this Saturday, July 26, at the Center by the Blackstone in the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center, 175 Main St.

The shop features refreshments, gifts, and tickets for the popular Blackstone Valley Polar Express train tours, which will run for their 15th season this year. Also being sold at the shop will be locally made art, crafts, gifts, souvenirs and more. The shop will be open weekdays and weekends from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. At the grand opening, there will be exclusive deals on items available for sale. The shop welcomes items from local artists and businesses looking to consign their goods.
