Frank A. Reddington – Pawtucket

Frank A. Reddington, 90, of Pawtucket died Monday, December 15, 2014, at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was the beloved husband of Ann R. (Burns) Reddington. Mr. and Mrs. Reddington celebrated their 63rd anniversary this past June 16. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late John and Daisy (Palmer) Reddington.

Mr. Reddington was a Pawtucket police officer for 28 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. After his retirement, he worked for Hospital Trust Bank and was a pallbearer for several local funeral homes. He was a communicant of St. Maria Goretti Church, Pawtucket.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Anne E. Kelly and her husband, Joseph of North Attleboro, Mass., and Mary F. O’Reilly and her husband, John of Lincoln; one son, John F. Reddington and his wife, Jeanne of Edgewater, Fla.; one daughter-in-law, Margaret M. Reddington of Lincoln; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Sean and Robert Kelly, Daniel and Brendan Reddington, and Timothy, Brian and Allison O’Reilly; and one great-grandson, Wyatt Kelly. He was the father of the late Providence Fire Capt. Frank A. Reddington Jr. and Elizabeth Reddington.

His funeral will be held Friday, December 19 at 8:45 A.M. from Bellows Funeral Chapel, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Maria Goretti Church, 155 Power Road, Pawtucket. Burial, with military honors, will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 4-7 P.M.
