Norman J. Bourget - Blackstone

Norman J. Bourget, 84, of Blackstone, Mass., passed away at home on Thursday, January 29, 2015, with his loving family by his side.

He was the beloved husband for 62 years of Rita M. (Sabourin) Bourget. Born in Central Falls, R.I., on April 30, 1930, he was the son of the late Joseph C. and Rose A. (Raymond) Bourget.

He was the loving father of Robert J. Bourget of Orlando, Fla., Jeanne Roy of Blackstone, Mass., Norma Bourget of Millville, Mass., and Anna Bourget of Bristol, R.I. He leaves his cherished five grandchildren, Christine Cousineau and her husband Wayne, Robert Roy and his wife Katlyn, Richard Roy and his wife Mary, Daniel Bourget and his wife Helene, and David Bourget; and seven great-grandchildren that he loved immensely. He was the brother of Donald Bourget and his wife June of Chelmsford, Mass., and their two children, Cheryl and Joseph.

He was a resident of Blackstone for more than 50 years, formerly of Central Falls and Woonsocket, where he attended Woonsocket High School. Norman was an independent concessionaire and the owner of Joe’s French Fries. Devoted to his businesses and his family, he will be greatly missed.

His Funeral will be held on Thursday, February 5 at 10:30 A.M. from CARTIER’S FUNERAL HOME, 151 South Main St. (Rte 126), Bellingham, Mass., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. at St. Theresa Church, 630 Rathbun St., Blackstone, Mass.
