Cynthia M. Miller - Cumberland

Cynthia M. (Lamontagne) Miller, 60, of Woodside Avenue, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 22 at home.

Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Lamontagne and Bernadette (Pinheiro) Zajac. She was a lifelong Cumberland resident who enjoyed being active in the community with her children in their younger years.

She loved the outdoors and loved to travel. Her most favorite thing to do was to make people smile. She was the most generous, caring, kindhearted and loving friend, aunt, sister, mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to raising her children.

She leaves three children, David R. Miller of Cumberland, Candace E. Simas and husband Phillip of Cumberland, and Jillian K. Lobisser and husband John of Bellingham; one brother, Raymond R. Lamontagne and wife Debbie of Rehoboth; and her loving companion, Lee Alspaugh. Also surviving are six grandchildren, the loves of her life, Darian, Phillip and Peyton Simas of Cumberland, and Chloe, Cassidy and Charlotte Lobisser of Bellingham. She also leaves behind countless other loving relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Feb. 28 with visitation from 2 to 6 p.m. and funeral service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kathy Carpenter Memorial Fund, c/o Cumberland Municipal Employees Federal Credit Union, 2352 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI 02864 .
