Clarice Palardy - Slatersville

Clarice “Kay” (Kozaczka) Palardy, 82, of Slatersville, joined her beloved mother in heaven on March 3, 2015.

Born in Woonsocket, Kay was a 1949 graduate of Woonsocket High School where she was a drum majorette, a debate team member and was involved in many other school activities. Kay married the late Francis A. Palardy in 1950, and after raising five children, she worked for Miller Electric Co. for 25 years.

She was an avid gardener, a voracious reader and passionate education advocate. She especially enjoyed her summers with family and friends at the trailer park in Galilee, R.I, for more than 30 years.

Kay is survived by her five children, Kevin Palardy and his wife Debra of North Smithfield, Deborah Palardy and James McNeight of Hoboken, N.J., Gary Palardy of North Smithfield, Robert Palardy and his wife Hollye of Nashville, Tenn., and David Palardy and Annette Leonard of Bellingham, Mass.; her eight precious grandchildren whom she loved spending many hours with, Jason, Aaron, Melissa, Nathan, Nicole, Rhiannon, Ryan and Kyle; and her newly arrived great-grandchild, Ilyana. She also leaves behind Janice Phelps of North Smithfield, Linda Palardy of Florida and Noreen Simmons of New York City, N.Y., whom she held very close to her heart.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 22, 2015, at 2 P.M. in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private.
