Police arrest Woonsocket man for heroin, gun with a silencer

WOONSOCKET – State Police on Thursday announced the arrest of a Woonsocket man on firearms and heroin distribution charges. Members of the Rhode Island State Police High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force nabbed Neftaly Pena, age 34, of 75 Village Road, apartment #8, Woonsocket, and charged him with:

• Possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation.
• Possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a crime of violence.
• Possession with intent to deliver heroin.
• Sale and/or possession of silencers.

The arrest was the result of an investigation by members of the HIDTA Task Force and a search of Pena’s apartment Thursday morning. As a result, the following items were seized:

• Approximately 20 grams of heroin.
• A Masterpiece Arms, 9mm semi-automatic pistol with extended magazine and silencer.
• One box of 9mm ammunition.
• $4,850 in cash.
• And packaging materials associated with the distribution of narcotic sales.

Pena was arraigned before the Magistrate Joseph Ippolito in Sixth Division District Court. He was also presented as a Superior Court violator after being convicted in May 2008 on two counts of first-degree robbery. He was ordered held without bail.

So this guy was arrested for first degree robbery 8 years ago and a quick check of his RI criminal record shows he has been arrested three times since 2014, meaning he did less than 6 years in jail. Now, he's living in subsidized housing, plying his drug trade and protecting his turf with weapons. Maybe they'll hold him in jail this time.

This is unfortunately what half of Woonsocket residents do. They collect welfare and supplement their welfare income with drug dealing and arms trade. I smell Liberals calling for a ban on guns because these losers have to resort to drug dealing to supplement their welfare check.

This man needs to get religion in his life I'll bet he was wearing his pajamaas and slppers when they arrested him my heart cries for Woonsocett and th ese pour souls.

god bless
