Olga Maresca – Providence

Maresca, Olga (Goods), 100, passed away Thursday, September 22, at the Summit Commons Health Care Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Anthony “Tom” Maresca; daughter of the late Nicholas and Tekla (Szewczuk) Goods; mother of Michael Maresca of East Providence and Robert Maresca and his wife, Elizabeth, of Lincoln; grandmother of Traci Cady, Andrea Maresca-Kohr, Michael Maresca and Nicholas Maresca; great-grandmother of five. She was the sister of the late Mary Walekenis and Mitchell Goods.

Born in Cumberland, she had lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., for many years and moved back to R.I. where she lived most of her life. Mrs. Maresca was a member of the DaVinci Center in Providence, and a past secretary for the Greater Providence Bowling Association. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards and was an avid bowler. Mrs. Maresca had worked for Freeway Bowling Lanes, and Andreozzi and Trinkle Associates.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, Sept. 27 in St. Edward Church, Providence. Burial followed in St. Stephen’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Manville, RI.
