Jean P. (Durning) Finbow – Woonsocket

Jean P. (Durning) Finbow, 89, of Woonsocket, died September 29 at Woonsocket Health and Rehab Center. She was the wife of William E. Finbow, whom she married Sunday, March 28, 1948. Born in Walpole, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Milburn M. and Helen M. (Ellison) Durning.

She worked in the jewelry department for K-Mart Milford, Mass., and Coventry, retiring in 1989. She was a past vice president of the Deerfield Commons Association in North Smithfield.

She is survived by her husband, William, two sons, Gary Finbow and his wife, Nancy, of Woonsocket and Richard Finbow and his fiancé, Rev. Dr. David Goldberg of Denver, Colo. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Melanie Boisvert and her husband, Albert, and Timothy Finbow and his wife, Angela, of Woodstock, Ontario, Canada along with seven great-grandchildren, Albert (Rootie), Abbigail, Elijah, Ethan and Virginia Boisvert and Parker and Mackenzie Finbow.

Her services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at 10 a.m. in the Columbarium Chapel of The R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, South County Trail, Exeter, R.I. Relatives and friends are invited and may gather in the administrative parking lot of the cemetery at 9:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association RI Chapter, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906.
