Trailblaze Marketing launches in Lincoln

LINCOLN –Trailblaze Marketing has officially branched off from its parent company, the technology firm Innovex, to become Lincoln’s newest digital marketing agency.

President Christopher Parisi, pictured, a Lincoln native and graduate of Lincoln High School and Bryant University, said he is committed to growing Trailblaze in Rhode Island and has chosen to maintain the company’s headquarters at 11 Powder Hill Road, in Lincoln. For now, they will share a space with Innovex, but Parisi said he plans to expand into an independent space as the agency grows.

Trailblaze currently has 10 employees, and plans to double its R.I. workforce by 2019.

“One of our missions is to always choose Rhode Island as we expand nationally,” Parisi said. “The more we grow, the more we can hire in-state and help the economy in a small way.”

His company is committed to investing in and developing the millennial workforce in Rhode Island, and has promised to work with local colleges to support their internship programs.

“I’m very prideful of this state and see a lot of opportunity for growth here, especially with the younger generations getting more and more involved. We want to end the brain drain and help millennials choose to stay in Rhode Island when they graduate, and as we grow, we hope to hire this young talent.”

Why hire from this particular talent pool?

“Today’s marketing is so different than it was five or 10 years ago. We want people who understand these modern marketing dynamics and who are passionate about digital marketing,” Parisi said.

Parisi said in the internet age, where buyers have access to endless information about products and services, marketers have to provide as much content as possible to draw them in.

He also wants young people to know that anyone can start a company. “If it’s your passion, then age should not matter.”

So far, the company has served a number of local clients, including Bank Rhode Island and Fagan Door.

“In a crowded marketplace, we really set out to differentiate ourselves from other marketing agencies,” he said.

To do so, his team takes a “human approach to marketing,” taking strides to build a company culture that values strong relationships, both with clients and within the organization. He strives to be as transparent as possible, he said, with clients and potential clients by posting rates and services online.

In addition, he said the company emphasizes the importance of creative “motion marketing.” On the technical side, that means moving graphics, videos and other engaging digital content. On the human side, it means never settling, and constantly reviewing data and analytics to optimize marketing.

“We don’t just set it and forget it,” he said.
