Annette J. Vandal – Cumberland

Annette J. (Pichette) Vandal, 82, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019, at the Rhode Island Hospital Providence. She was the beloved wife of Leo N. Vandal with whom she had been married for the past 62 years.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Gedeon and Alpheda (Berneche) Pichette. She resided in Cumberland for the past 48 years, previously residing in the Olneyville section of Providence.

Mrs. Vandal was employed by Business Systems of New England for over 30 years until her retirement in 2017.

Annette was a communicant of the St. Patrick \ St. Aidan Parish for many years. She enjoyed ceramics and gardening, but most of all loved spending time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she leaves her two sons, Jeffrey D. Vandal and his wife, Jean, of Norton, Mass., and Brian S. Vandal and his wife, Melissa, of Coventry; her adoring grandchildren, Nicholas, Steven and Matthew, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late J. Donald Pichette.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Annette's Life Celebration to be held Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, with visiting hours from 4 to 8 p.m., and continuing on Friday, January 18, 2019, at 9 a.m., in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m., in the St. Aidan Church, 1460 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
