Stephen R. Instasi II – Cumberland

Stephen R. Instasi II, 60, of Cumberland, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at home. He was the husband of Patti Lynn (Hart) Instasi.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Stephen and Cynthia (Filchuk) Instasi. He resided in Cumberland for the past eight years, previously residing in Lincoln.

Mr. Instasi was employed as a truck driver for the National Response Corporation for the past six years.

Stephen enjoyed working in the yard, cutting grass and caring for almost anything outdoors. Those who will miss him will remember his outgoing, humorous personality that would endear him to everyone he came in contact with. His life's work allowed him to travel every interstate across this country. He was known in the family as a personal navigation specialist. He took great pride in his tractor trailer trucks, his yard, but most of all in the love of his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Stephen Instasi III and his wife, Leeanne, of Cumberland, Rebecca Mandeville and her husband, Kyle, of Woonsocket, and Justin Instasi of Lincoln, Maine; his sister, Barbara Deforge of Wrentham, Mass., his siblings, Dennis Instasi of Palm Coast, Fla., Patricia Daudelin of Woonsocket, Lori Wheeler of Palm Coast, Fla., Betty Instasi of Holden, Maine, Pamela Instasi Jones of Bellingham, Mass., Christine Instasi-Springer of Holden, Maine, and Penny Chadwick of Holden, Maine; his four cherished grandchildren, Madison, Logan, Kinsley and Luke; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Stephen's Life Celebration to be held with visiting hours on Thursday, May 9, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m., and continue on Friday, May 10, 2019, at 10 a.m., in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Route 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., in the St. James Church, Division Street, Manville.
