Richard M. "Dick" Stanley – Lincoln

Richard M. "Dick" Stanley, 84, passed away on Tuesday in the Hopkins Manor, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy I. (Waskiel) Stanley, they have been married for the past 63 years.

Born in Providence, R.I., he was the son of the late Henry and Alma (Reddington) Stanley. He resided in Lincoln for more than 50 years.

He was employed by the former Star Gas Company of Pawtucket for many years.

He was a member of the Local 251 Teamsters, East Providence.

Dick was an avid boater and could often be found in his younger years on the waters of Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. He also spent his free time caring for his well manicured yard and waxing his cars. He also enjoyed downtime in his hot tub and kayaking and could be found on the Narrow River, North Kingstown. He and his wife enjoyed Galilee and trips to Iggy's in Narragansett. He could also be found daily walking in Lincoln Woods. Dick was also an avid Patriots fan.

Along with his wife he is survived by one son, David R. Stanley, and his wife, Donna, of Lincoln; two daughters Donna A. Walker and her husband, Ronald, of Lincoln, and Diane Bzowski and her husband, Carl, of North Carolina; one brother, Wayne Stanley of Charlestown; one sister, Patricia Lilly of Warwick; two grandchildren Chelsea and Brandon Walker.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Dick's Life Celebration to be held on Friday, July 5 with visiting hours from 5 to 7 p.m., in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
