Papazian: Thank you for ‘Free Summer Shakespeare’

Papazian: Thank you for ‘Free Summer Shakespeare’

I wanted to thank The Valley Breeze for drawing my attention to the Burbage Theater Co.’s “Free Summer Shakespeare” event in Pawtucket.

Although not a huge fan of Shakespeare (sorry William!), my reasons for attending were twofold: First, my son recently took two college level Shakespeare courses and attended three related plays in the Washington, D.C., area (so I thought he would enjoy a production locally) and second, I wanted to broaden my horizons, opening my mind to Shakespeare. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

We saw “Julius Caesar” on a lovely Friday evening, on the banks of the Blackstone River, at the Pawtucket Veterans Memorial Amphitheater. The actors and actresses were so talented, delivering their lines so professionally and with such expression – they truly were impressive!

The play is free and runs until Aug. 11 at various locations in Pawtucket and East Providence. Thank you to Jeff Church (artistic director) and his company for a most memorable evening!
