Gerard W. Laliberte – Lincoln

Gerard W. Laliberte, 79, of Manville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, 2019, at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Fernande Laliberte, and they had been married for the past 58 years.

Born in Manville, he was the son of the late Raoul and Maria (Laferriere) Laliberte. He was a lifelong resident of Manville.

Mr. Laliberte was employed at Texas Instruments for 32 years until his retirement.

Gerard was a communicant of the St. James Parish, Manville. He enjoyed camping, dining out and traveling to Canada, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Those who love him will always remember his love of family and his multiple daily trips to Dunkin' Donuts for his coffee.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Diane Laliberte of North Smithfield, Michael Laliberte and his wife, Karen, of Manville; his brother, Roger Laliberte and his wife, Claudette, of Coventry; his three grandchildren, Michaela, Crystal and Danielle Laliberte; as well as his two nieces. He was the father of the late Marcel R. Laliberte.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Gerard's Life Celebration to be held Saturday with visiting hours from 8 to 9:30 a.m., in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., in the St. James Church, Division Street, Manville. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery.
