Clipper hockey team’s Partington golf tourney takes place Sept. 28

CUMBERLAND – The Jonathan Partington Memorial Golf Tournament, which supports the Cumberland High hockey program, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the New England Country Club on 180 Paine St. in Bellingham, Mass.

The tournament will begin at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start and conclude at 6 p.m. with a post-tournament dinner, raffle, and awards ceremony.

The fee to play is $135 per golfer and includes 18 holes of golf, the use of a cart, a polo shirt, and the dinner.

This 24th annual tourney is the major fundraising event held to support the Clippers, who won the Division II title last winter.

This is the second year that the tournament has been named in the memory of Partington, a 2008 graduate of CHS and a member of that year’s Division II championship hockey team who died in 2017.
