Pawtucket police bust alleged Fentanyl dealers

PAWTUCKET – On Oct. 1, the Pawtucket Police Department's Narcotics Unit arrested two people for running a alleged Fentanyl operation. They executed a court-ordered search warrant at 22 Cornell Ave. in Pawtucket as part of an ongoing investigation into the illegal distribution of Fentanyl in the city. As a result of the investigation, the two residents, Adrian Montalvo, 32, and Erin Lawrence, 35, were arrested and charged with:

• Manufacturing possessing/delivering Fentanyl more than 1 kilo
• Possession with intent Schedule II (Fentanyl)
• Distribution or manufacturing in or near a school
• Maintaining a common nuisance
• Third or subsequent offense (Montalvo only)
• Possession of firearm by person convicted of crime (Montalvo only)
• Possession of firearm committing controlled substance violation
• Alteration of marks of identification on a firearm
• And conspiracy

The Narcotics Unit seized approximately 2.1 kilos of Fentanyl, a loaded Glock 26, various packaging and distribution materials, and approximately $79,000 in cash. The street value of the illegal narcotics is estimated to be approximately $140,000.

Montalvo and Lawrence were arraigned Wednesday morning in Providence District Court.
