Red, White and Blueberry breakfast will benefit Cougar Close Up program

NORTH PROVIDENCE – North Providence High School’s Cougar Close Up will hold its annual Red, White and Blueberry Pancake Breakfast fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to noon, at North Providence High School, 1828 Mineral Spring Ave.

During the week of March 15-20, North Providence High School students will be participating in Project Close Up, a hands-on program in ur nation’s capital to witness and take part in our nation’s democratic process.

The Close Up Foundation is the nation’s largest nonprofit and nonpartisan citizenship education organization. Since 1971, Close Up has worked with students and educators across the country to promote active citizenship.

Through seminars with Washington policymakers and explorations of government offices and historical sites, high school students get a close-up look at the process of democracy and our nation’s heritage.

Tickets will be sold in advance and at the door and are $8 for adults, and $5 for children and NPHS students. Reservations can also be made for a table of seven for $50.
