Colleen Angela Brite – North Kingstown

Colleen Angela Brite, 47, passed away unexpectedly, at her home in North Kingstown, R.I., on November 18, 2019.

She was a beloved daughter of Rosemary E. (Deptula) Brite and William R. Brite Jr. She is survived by her six siblings, Joyce Ferland and her husband, Gerry , of Cumberland, William Brite and his wife, Kim, of Millville, Mass., Laurie Ann Cote and her husband, Leo, of Woonsocket, Jonathan Brite of Uxbridge, Mass., Jamie Brite, Alexia Armstrong and her spouse, Jason, of Woonsocket.

Colleen was a beautiful, independent, passionate, intelligent, and charismatic woman who was full of life. Her loss will forever leave an indelible mark on those who knew and loved her. Colleen was a sweet and sensitive homebody who adored her friends and family. She was very industrious, smart, gifted, talented and was able to teach herself almost anything. She fixed her own roof, renovated her own kitchen, installed her own wood burning stove and greenhouse and when amazed family and friends would ask her how she knew how to do all these things, she would say, YouTube!

In addition to being a home improvement aficionado, she also custom designed and handcrafted canvas-based products for boats. She was an entrepreneur who owned and operated a home business called Precious Pups Day Camp and Spa. Colleen had an incredible love for all the dogs she took care of, a strong faith and an even stronger love for her many nieces and nephews. Colleen was an independent woman who lived life on her own terms, she was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend, she will be profoundly missed by all of us until we meet again.
