North Providence Public Library hosting holiday bazaar, family show

NORTH PROVIDENCE – The North Providence Library, 1810 Mineral Spring Ave., has announced the following events and programs for the month of December:

• Oliver Twist Holiday Family Show – The Hampstead Stage Company will perform their adaption of this classic on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 6:30 p.m. All ages. Registration required. Please call the Children’s Department at 401-353-5600, ext. 5.

• Holiday Bazaar – More than 20 unique vendors will display their wares and handmade items for sale Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All are welcome.

• Mystery Book Club – Meets the first Tuesday of every month. This month’s read is “Agatha Raisin and the Quiche of Death” by MC Beaton. Dec. 3, 7 p.m.

• Color Me Calm – Drop in on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 12:30 p.m. for this relaxing adult coloring class. All supplies provided. Meet new people and de-stress in a relaxing atmosphere.

• Tai Chi – Phil Goldman will teach all levels with a focus on the fundamentals of Tai Chi. Class is $5 per person at the time of class. Classes held Mondays, Dec. 2, 9, and 16, from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.

• Family bingo – Test your bingo skills at this family event on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. All ages are welcome.

• Pickle the Read Dog – Pickle loves to listen to children practice their reading skills. Bring your own book or choose one from the “pickle” jar. All ages, Monday, Dec. 2, from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. Registration required, so call the Children’s Department.
