Meals on Wheels of R.I. announces ‘Together for seniors’ radio hour

PROVIDENCE – Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island has announced the launch of “Together for Seniors,” a radio hour airing on News Radio 920 and 104.7 FM, hosted by Executive Director Meghan Grady.

The program, sponsored by Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, will air weekly on Sundays from 8 to 9 a.m., through April 12.

“When we talk about how Meals on Wheels of R.I. addresses the unique needs of our state’s older adult population to help them remain living healthily and independently, we think about the best ways to reach them with education on the topics that most greatly impact their lives,” Grady said. “‘Together for Seniors’ will do just that – we’ll be engaging decision-makers, community and business leaders and other key stakeholders who are working together to support this rapidly growing population.”

The show will also serve family members and other caregivers as they navigate how to care for aging relatives.

Expert guests will be interviewed on topics including online security, community support, financial awareness, and the 2020 Census. A podcast of the show will be posted online after each airing.
