R.I. Medical Imaging donations benefit children and elderly

WARWICK – Rhode Island Medical Imaging radiologists, technologists and staff donated food and holiday gifts to benefit Rhode Island children, families and elderly adults this past December, including more than 650 pounds of food and 370 gifts.

Items were donated to local community organizations, including the Rhode Island Community Food Bank in Providence, St. Mary’s Home for Children in North Providence, Foster Forward in East Providence, Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, Brentwood by the Bay Assisted Living in Warwick, and Sunny View Nursing Home in Warwick.

“We rely on local businesses and individuals providing food and funds that support our work feeding our neighbors in need,” said Andrew Schiff, CEO of Rhode Island Community Food Bank. “We are so thankful to Rhode Island Medical Imaging for participating in this year’s holiday food drive and donating 650 pounds of food which we’ll distribute to hungry Rhode Islanders.”
