CUMBERLAND – Construction is progressing on a new medical building at 2295 Diamond Hill Road.

The new 11,800-square-foot building will boast eight medical offices including internal medicine/primary care, physical therapy and lab services. There are opportunities for specialty physicians to join as well, according to developer and Family Internal Medicine owner Dr. Bassam Khabbaz.

Completion of the building is slated for early summer.

“In the 15 years we have been in Cumberland we have steadily grown,” said Khabbaz in a statement.

The project coincides with the state’s investment of $11.3 million of road improvements on Diamond Hill Road, highlighted by two new roundabouts.

The two-story masonry medical facility will be accessible to the handicapped, be equipped with an elevator, and offer on-site parking.
