Little Sisters of the Poor to hold St. Patrick’s Day dinner

UPDATE: The Little Sisters of the Poor announced on Monday, March 9, the event had been canceled out of an abundance of caution due to the coronavirus. The Little Sisters said they remain grateful to The Old Grist Mill Tavern and all of their volunteers and benefactors who had planned to attend the event.

SEEKONK, Mass. – The Little Sisters of the Poor Jeanne Jugan Residence of Pawtucket will hold its 12th annual Saint Patrick’s Day Dinner at The Old Grist Mill Tavern, 390 Fall River Ave., Seekonk, Mass., on Tuesday, March 17, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. This annual event supports the Little Sisters’ mission of serving the elderly poor and will include a traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner along with raffle prizes, a “Pot of Gold” drawing and homemade scones for sale.

Tickets are $17 per adult and $7.50 for children under 12 and must be purchased in advance at Jeanne Jugan Residence or at www.littlesistersofthepoorpawtucket.org .
