Woonsocket announces new procedures for municipal business

WOONSOCKET – The city of Woonsocket has announced new procedures for residents who need to conduct city business amid the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

City Hall will be closed to the public until further notice, but residents can use a drop box located in the Tax Assessor's Office vestibule for land evidence records or city tax, water or sewer bills beginning Thursday, March 19. The drop box will be available for use daily between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Please leave only checks or money orders, no cash will be accepted.

"This will allow for the continued good health and safety of residents, other consumers and our employees,” said Mayor Lisa-Baldelli Hunt.
