Residents encouraged to clean up litter

PAWTUCKET – While finding ways to stay active at home, Keep Blackstone Valley Beautiful encourages residents to spend some time outside doing a litter cleanup.

In a press release the organization stated “You may find that there are so many roads right outside our homes that need attention. Now is a perfect chance to gather your children ... and walk, run or jog around your streets to gather the litter we always see but are usually too busy to remove.”

KBVB challenges everyone to pick up at least one piece of litter. “If all our 1 million Rhode Island residents do that small bit, we will remove 1 million pieces of litter from our communities today.”

Keep Blackstone Valley Beautiful encourages residents to take photos and share with #RIMillionPieces2020 and #DoBeautifulThings.
