Daniel R. Lapolla – Cumberland

Daniel R. Lapolla, 79, of Cumberland, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at home surrounded by his family.

He was the beloved husband of Jane (Mandeville) Lapolla for 45 years. He was born in Providence in 1940, the son of the
late Daniel A. and Viola (Bernadoni) Lapolla.

Dan was incredibly proud of his family and his Italian heritage. He will be missed by friends and family from Rhode Island to Florida. Dan was an avid golfer his entire life and was fortunate enough to spend the majority of his retirement since 2010 playing up to 27 holes a day. He finished his amateur career with six holes-in-one and a lot of his golfing buddies' money. Dan retired as a boiler operator at Brown University. He had many jobs before that, but most notably as a mechanic and a barber. Fixing cars and giving haircuts were trades he took pride in and a significant part of his life, even at 79.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane Lapolla; his three loving children, Daniel G. Lapolla of New Hampshire, John R. Lapolla of Florida and Denise S. Lapolla of Florida. He was the cherished grandfather of three and great-grandfather of
seven. He was the brother of the late Elaine Costantino who he loved very much. Dan had cousins, nieces, nephews, and daughters-in-law who he adored.

Dan leaves behind a large loving family who are grateful for the time they had with him, and a fire hydrant outside of his home painted in the likeness of the Italian flag.

His funeral and burial in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston, will be private. To upload a video condolence or leave a heartfelt message of sympathy please visit www.bellowsfuneralchapel.com.
