Job Lot Charitable Foundation provides food for local residents

NORTH KINGSTOWN – The Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation, in cooperation with the city of Pawtucket and the Pawtucket Red Sox, hosted its first “Milk Monday at McCoy” on April 20. Volunteers distributed gallons of milk, eggs, bread, and yogurt to approximately 1,500 local residents via “drive-thru.”

“On behalf of the residents of Pawtucket, I would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation for their generous and timely donation in this time of need,” said Mayor Donald Grebien. The coronavirus pandemic has seriously strained families and their ability to provide basic meals at home. By providing the essentials such as milk, eggs, bread and yogurt, Job Lot has provided much needed relief to Pawtucket families.”

“Thanks to our partners Ocean State Job Lot and the city of Pawtucket we hope we can make life a little brighter for those in need in our community,” said Mike Tamburro, PawSox vice chairman.
