Cumberland EMS will provide COVID-19 testing

CUMBERLAND – Beginning on Thursday, May 21, Cumberland Emergency Medical Services will be providing COVID-19 diagnostic testing for homebound Cumberland residents who require testing as ordered by their health care provider.

Homebound residents may arrange to be tested in their home by calling 401-692-1708, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or by emailing EMS@cumberlandri.org.

Residents will be required to provide the name of the health care provider who ordered the test. Residents who are experiencing symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 related illness who do not have a health care provider’s order for testing may also request testing. Testing requested without an order from a health care provider will be evaluated by a Cumberland EMS physician medical director.
