Hope Library offers contactless pickup

SCITUATE – Hope Library, 374 North Road, will now offer contactless pickup.

The library will have limited hours of operation during Phase 1: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Only staff will be allowed in the building. All staff members will wear masks; all others will not be admitted.

Schedule a pickup time for your items by calling the library at 401-821-7910. Books will be bagged for your convenience and set outside the front doors on a table.

Patrons are asked to park in the designated curbside pickup area. Wait in the main parking lot until the curbside space is available.

Patrons are asked to wear a mask when retrieving items and to follow social distancing guidelines.

No book returns will be accepted in person. Returns should not be left on the outside table – all returns must be placed in the bookdrop.

The items you will receive have not been sanitized, but library staff say the materials have been in quarantine for 48 hours.

If you currently have items on the hold shelf, you will be contacted the week of May 18 to schedule an appointment for pickup.
