Hope Library starts Summer Reading Challenge

Hope Library starts Summer Reading Challenge

SCITUATE – Hope Library, 374 North Road, will host its 2020 Summer Reading Challenge – Imagine Your Story, online this summer.

As of Monday, June 29, children being read to and children reading on their own can earn digital badges and reward tickets by reading and completing activities. Visit www.hopepubliclibrary.org and find the Imagine Your Story button to register.

Choose your challenge and read, log in your reading, and complete activities to earn digital badges and raffle tickets for end-of-summer prizes. For those who do not want to participate online, packets are available at the library.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, most of the library programming will be conducted virtually. Visit the program calendar on the library’s website to find dates for virtual story times, performances, book clubs and the Story Walk. Summer reading books are available for curbside pickup at this time. Free copies of this year’s Kids Read Across R.I. book, “Changeling,” by William Ritter, are available on a limited basis. Call the library to reserve books or Take and Make crafts.

Call the library at 401-821-7910 or email childrenslibrarian@hopepubliclibrary.org for more information. Most virtual programs will be done using Zoom and links to the programs will be sent once you register.
