Donald P. Frappier – Cranston

Donald P. Frappier, 65, passed away at the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence on Wednesday, June 24, 2020.

He was the devoted husband of Mona L. Drolet for nearly 30 happy years until she passed in 2014. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Therese (Paris) Frappier of Woonsocket and the late Gerard Frappier.

Don was a humble man who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed woodworking, the outdoors, and fishing. Don was ‘the guy’ who could make anything work, he built two separate boats from scratch among many of his other projects. He was a jovial and good-natured man, always quick with a laugh and a smile. He was a hardworking and successful machinist. Don was a fiercely loyal and loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed each moment he spent with his grandson Mikey, always first in the school pickup line and never forgetting the requisite chocolates as an after-school treat for the drive home.

He is survived by his daughter, Tricia Forte, and her husband, Michael Jr,. of Cranston, R.I., and his grandson, Michael (Mikey) Forte III; his mother, Therese (Paris) Frappier, of Woonsocket, R.I.; his beloved niece, Michelle Campbell, her husband, Brendan, of Waltham, Mass., and their four beautiful children; and two brothers: Robert Frappier and his wife, Larysa, of Georgia, and Gerard Frappier of North Carolina.

At the request of the family all services will be private. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Leah McDonald & Dr. Christine Nevins-Hebert, and nurses Cathy, Natalina, Wendy, Laura, and Freda for their kindness, love, care, and support, as well as all of the hardworking hospice aides that attended to Don.

Donations in his memory may be made to Hope Health Hospice and Palliative Care of Providence, R.I. Remembrances may be shared at www.carpenterjenks.com .
